Handbook in dispersion

The educational content and hands-on activities in this handbook were developed as part of the "Sprouting a Seed Bank" project, which aimed to create a seed bank to encourage its use, sharing, and preservation.
These activities were designed for 2nd and 6th-grade students in Lisbon during the 2019/2020 school year. Fifteen workshops were held in an informal study area and a school vegetable garden, which the students helped to build.
When schools closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March, the workshops were adapted so that students could continue learning from home.
Through these workshops, we hoped to raise awareness of important environmental issues by exploring the natural world. Starting with seeds, we aimed to encourage students to adopt sustainable habits and understand the need to protect our planet.
