General description: It is a vegetable that originates in India, where still exists in its wild form. The first variety of eggplant to reach the UK was white and round, earning it the name Eggplant.

Nutritional data: It is rich in water, fiber, and mineral salts (calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium) and low in protein.
GROWING CONDITIONS
Climate: It is a tropical plant. Need high temperatures to develop well, therefore preferring good sun exposure.
Soil: Fertile and well-drained, preferably acidic.
Watering: Frequent.
Intercropping: Peas, Beans, Peppers, Parsley, Tomatoes, Savory, Calendula, Leviticus, Thyme.
Sowing time: March to June.
Harvest time: June to November.
